Consort Day

Each year, the Atlanta Chapter of the American Recorder Society celebrates Play the Recorder Month by hosting our very own Consort Day. This tradition began in 1996 as an opportunity for the various established ensembles in our community to play for an audience.

This year’s Consort Day was on March 17th 2024 at 3:00 PM, hosted at The Atlanta Speech School, 3160 Northside Parkway NW, Atlanta, GA 30327, and was a great success! Thanks to everyone who participated, and please see the pictures below.

Performance guidelines:

    • Each complete performance may be no longer than 15 minutes in length.
    • Each tune must include at least one recorder.
    • At least one member of the group must be a member of the American Recorder Society or one of its national chapters.
    • Any talking, program notes, or explanations are included as part of the 15-minute limit.
    • Sadly, insurance requirements strictly prohibit the use of any unicycles.
